IT'S OFFICIAL!!

Well, it is official! We are expecting a little boy and a little girl and we couldn't be more excited! We had our 18 week ultrasound a day early because Trisha was in a minor car accident and we wanted to make sure the babies were okay. Thank goodness Trisha, her daughter Sam, and both babies were fine.  Hopefully the pregnancy will continue without any more bumps in the road, we are hoping for at least 18 more weeks on the inside.  I'll try to post the pics of twin B's big reveal this weekend if I get a chance (I always seem to be behind!).

Hi Nathan & Amanda:
"My name is Pete and this is my 1st time on a blog"... sounds almost like an intro to a 12 step program! Anyway, what terrific news. I am really happy for you both. I can only imagine the ordeal and commitment you both made to get to this point. Being a parent of 4, I would say that the hardest part is behind you - at least for the next 10 years. No guarantees once they reach double digits.

A word about Cleveland - when Mary Ann and I moved to Youngstown, Ohio back in 1989 (from Alexandria, VA), she cried. We were leaving a fun-paced life, in our late 20s, and moving to rural suburbia. Our first impression was that we had gone back in time about a generation and was hoping that our stay would be short-lived. When we left 7 years ago - with slightly more than we had arrived with - now 3 children, a dog and another station wagon, we cried even harder. We had met some of the most wonderful people. While we spent much time together, the friends we made there helped us transition to our next stage of life - parents and by acting like grandparents to our kids (because their actual grandparents were too far away to be part of their everyday life and kids live in the moment, they enriched our childrens' lives and ours as well. May you be blessed to have such a wonderful experience in your new home, with your new neighbors with your new babies!

All the best to you both,
Pete & Mary Ann Sacripanti
