IT'S OFFICIAL!!

Well, it is official! We are expecting a little boy and a little girl and we couldn't be more excited! We had our 18 week ultrasound a day early because Trisha was in a minor car accident and we wanted to make sure the babies were okay. Thank goodness Trisha, her daughter Sam, and both babies were fine.  Hopefully the pregnancy will continue without any more bumps in the road, we are hoping for at least 18 more weeks on the inside.  I'll try to post the pics of twin B's big reveal this weekend if I get a chance (I always seem to be behind!).

Moving from Chicago to Cleveland

Well were doing it again.  Our fourth move in seven years.  This time we are moving from just outside Chicago to a suburb of Cleveland.  Check out the video to get a tour of the new house.  See you all in Cleveland.

PRESENTING.....

.

TWIN A - MR. CREECH

That is definitely male genitalia!!

This is his sweet little profile. I know he will look just like Nathan, he has his full lips!!

Here is a picture of his little foot.

And then we have...

TWIN B - MISS ????? CREECH

Well, the B twin seems to be the trouble maker, which I've already told Nathan that he gets to take care of the crazy twin. This baby's umbilical cord was in the way and we couldn't tell the gender for sure. The doctor said if he had to guess he would say boy, but the tech looked again after he left and said that she thinks girl and since I really would love one of each, we are hoping for girl!! But, two sweet little boys would be okay too! If it is a girl, then I was right in my prediction from the beginning that twin A was a boy and twin B was a girl, hmmm.. mother's intuition maybe? :)

This is her sweet profile, she definitely has my chin!

This is a cute one of her sucking her thumb!!

Last, but not least, here is a picture of her little foot. I love that the tech took those pictures and gave them to us!! Well, only 4 more days until our next appointment and ultrasound, which hopefully can confirm that twin B is a girl. We have been really busy getting ready for our move and haven't had much time to update the blog lately, but I will try to upload the video of the whole 16 week ultrasound when I get a chance. By the way, Trisha sent me a text last weekend to let me know that she felt the babies move for the first time. Hopefully they will be active when I visit next week and I can feel them move! I can't wait to meet them!

Looking Back and Now Looking Forward

Well, today is the big day. Today we are going to Kansas City to have our 16 week appointment and hopefully (if the little ones cooperate) find out the gender. It's hard to believe we have come so far. Yesterday we were cleaning up around the house and I was going through my IVF stuff. I have so many mixed feelings when going through all of this stuff. On one hand I want to throw it all away and never think about those times again, but there is a part of me that is still too afraid to believe that this has actually worked and I won't ever need to travel this road again. Just thinking of all the things I put myself through these past 3 1/2 years to get where we are today, it is hard for me to imagine how other people seem to just get pregnant so easily. I had 7 sharps containers full of needles that I used to inject myself with medications over 9 IVF cycles. I decided I needed to count them and so the grand total was 455+ shots (not counting 1 sharps container that I already got rid of). So let's see, that puts the tally at 3 1/2 years of trying, 1 ectopic, 3 IVF doctors, 3 surgeries, 9 IVF cycles, 455+ injections, one bout of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, one wonderful surrogate, and tens of thousands of dollars spent....and now our precious twins....I wouldn't change a thing.
